Our Story

The Sunday Crumb was born out of tradition, family, and the kind of love that can only be found in the kitchen. At the center of it all is Josephine, my grandmother.

Growing up, Josephine was the smallest and sweetest of her siblings. Her family nicknamed her “Crumb,” a name that stuck and perfectly captured her gentle nature and warm spirit. Fittingly, she grew into the heart of the kitchen — apron on, flour dust in the air, always making sure everyone was cared for.

Her kitchen was never quiet. The hum of a mixer, the smell of bread rising, the sound of laughter at the table. It was where stories were told and memories were made. She believed in feeding both stomach and soul, showing that the smallest details; a warm cookie, a loaf pulled fresh from the oven or a flavorful cake— could bring people together.

When it came time to name this bakery, it only felt right to honor her. “Crumb” is for Josephine. “Sunday” is for the day our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ made all things new — a day of hope, renewal, and everlasting grace. Together, The Sunday Crumb is both a tribute to her legacy and a reflection of the faith that guides us, carrying forward the belief that food, like love, was always meant to be shared.

From our oven to your home, welcome to The Sunday Crumb.
